Box Office:Boss makes Rs. 45.5 crore

Akshay Kumar's masala entertainer has picked up over the week.

Boss and Shahid have been received well at the box office-the former raked in over 45 crore in the first five days while the latter, a medium budget biopic has recovered money by earning Rs. 2.05 crore in three days.

Director Anthony D'Souza's Boss which stars Akshay Kumar has been made on a budget of Rs. 72 crore and hit 3,700-3,800 screens approximately on October 16. A potpourri of action,comedy,romance and drama, Boss co-produced by Ashwin Varde productions, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Hope, has reportedly collected Rs. 45.5 crore in five days at the domestic box office.

Boss performed very well as it is mass oriented and the hit song are also a plus point of the film, said RK Mehrotra General Manager, Delite Cinemas.

Director Hansal Mehta's Shahid, about slain lawyer Shahid Azmi, stars Rajkumar Yadav in the lead. co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Bohra Brothers, the film was made on a budget of approximately Rs.80 lakh and was released on nearly 400 screens.

Shahid collected approximately Rs. 2.05 crore net in its opening weekend, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Shahid tells the story of Shahid Azim who was the defending lawyer of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack co-accused Faheem Ansari.He was shot dead in his office in 2010.

Sunny Leone prefers doing her own actions

The adult film star underwent rigorous training session to perfect her stunts in her upcoming movie Tina and Lolo.

In this movie Sunny Leone will be seen doing some hardcore action in her upcoming film, Tina and Lolo. In this movie Sunny has not use any body doubles for the stunts. Director Devang Dholakia said, Sunny went through training for around two to three months before starting the film. She went through gun training, boxing and action for this film. She has not used any body double for any of her action scenes. She is a through professional.

While Sunny plays Tina in the film, Karishma Tanna plays the role of Lolo. The film makers have wrapped the first schedule of the film,confirms the director. And the second will start from October end. The director is planning to release the film by April 2014.

The action in the film is not usual action that you see in Bollywood. It is going to be very different. Well we can't wait to see some new kinda action in Bollywood. Apart from some new unique action style, the film will have Sunny at it, delivering hardcore action that she has never tried before.

Shahrukh to play a Gujarati don

Farhan Akthar's next production venture which will be directed by Rahul Dholakia will see Shahrukh Khan playing a Gujrati Don.

The film will be produced by Farhan and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani under their home banner Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd, and is currently under scripting stage.

Ritesh said SRK is doing the film, we are not sure when it will go on floors exactly but it will be next year. Shahrukh is excited about the film but we need to work out the schedule as he has prior commitments.

When w easked about Don 3 he said with a franchise like Don and the character its important to get excited by the script. Neither Shahrukh nor farhan or me wants to get into making a film because there is excitement about it. We also want to be happy with the script if that happens then i would love to do it.

After doing a cameo with Saif Ali Khan in the US for a film entitled Happy Ending, Preity Zinta is back in Mumbai for good.

She has resumed shooting in India with Neeraj Pathak's upcoming flick Bhaiyyaji Superhit, where in her own words she has a damned intresting role opposite Sunny Deol. For the first time, Preity gets to play a bonofide rustic character, And she's working hard to clean herself of the subtle American twang she has acquired during her frequent visits to the US where her brother lives.
Last seen in home-production Ishkq In Paris, the film failure left Preity disappointed but undeterred.

Now back in the thick of things Preity says, I've been expanding my horizons, exploring new areas of work-related activity. That is difficult for a lot of my colleagues in Bollywood to understand. For them cinema is the sum-total of their activity. I didn't want my life to be restricted to one vocation. I've done other things. Now I'm back being what I am most comfortable doing.

Preity begins shooting for Bhaiyyaji Superhit in Udaipur this month. She plays a character from rural Uttar Pradesh. Sunny Deol plays her husband.
The reason why I am doing this role is because i find it damn interesting. I have never played someone quite like this woman. At the juncture of my career when I no longer need to depend on my film career for my livelihood, I can afford to do the roles that enthuses me.

About the cameo she did in Saif's film, Preity says. It's not just a song. It's role with speaking lines. In fact I still have a portion of it of it to shoot here in India. I did it for Saif who's a dear friend.
